Can one copy of Windows Vista be installed on multiple computers?

I own 3 computers, and I just bought a new computer which came with a copy of Windows Vista.

If I can't do it legally, does microsoft offer a discount for installing vista on multiple computers registered in the same name?

No it cant be installed on more than 1 PC . you have to contact Microsoft and buy the package of 4 Activation codes.

If you install Vista on more than one PC with only one Activation Code ... it is going to work as a trial version only for 30 days after that Win Vista will stop working...

Visit Microsoft Web Site and make a call ... they will help you.

You can install as many copies of Ubuntu as you like. No EULA, no DRM, no bullshit.

No, but you could probably buy a site license for less than the cost of 3 individuals.

I see 32bit home basic version is about $90 per license when purchased individually, a 3 pack is $250.
When you buy Vista you are only licensed to install it on one PC. Legally you are not allowed to install the same copy on another computer. Microsoft also only allows you to activate the same CD Key so many times, so if you do install it on all 3 computers then hope that you don't have to reformat and activate again.
