The cheapest way is to use a CrossOver cable, look up the 'net for the pinout, all you do is put the cable in both ethernet ports and done!!

cons: it only work with 2 computers

The expensive way is to get a Network Hub

cons: Price.

Hope this helps
Make sure both computers have an RJ45 jack to plug in a network cable . . .

Do either of the following:

1) buy a crossover cable and plug the two computers directly into one another.

2) buy a hub/switch and two standard network cables. run a network cable from each of the computers to the hub/switch

If you want them both to access the internet, the following applies:

If you chose option 1 above then one of the two computers will need another RJ45 port to plug into your modem and act as a proxy for the other computer.
