You need to pop the cover off and add more memory chips. In some cases, the memory slots on your computer may be filled. In this event, you'll need to remove at least one memory chip and replace it with one that has more memory.

There are many different types of memory chips. To find out what type of memory your computer uses, go to the Web site of the manufacturer and search for your model. You should be able to find out what type of memory your computer takes.

As for ''virtual memory,'' that is actually space on your hard drive. The warning you're getting could mean that your hard drive is full and you need to move files off it. If your hard drive is not full, click on ''Help'' and search on ''virtual memory.'' It will give you the procedure for checking and increasing your virtual memory.

Good luck!

First, check to see what your virtual memory is set at. It should be set at approx. 2046MB. To get there, right click on My Computer, select the Advanced tab, then in performance options select the Advanced tab again, at the bottom you should see the options for Virtual Memory. If it is set too low (Lower than 2046MB) then adjust accordingly. If this doesn't work, you might need to add more memory to your computer. Here is a good link for reference on memory upgrades. Check out this link. It will help you varify what memory you need to use. Then you can go from there.

You should add real memory to your computer. Look for information on doing that in your computers manual. The ''virtual memory'' is just you hard drive acting like memory because you are out of the real thing which is much faster. The increase the virtual memory right click on my computer, click properties, click the ''advanced'' tab and click on the settings button under performance, then click the change button under ''Virtual Memory''. Change the maximum size to meet your needs. I would set it at about 1500mb if you have a large hard drive (+80gb)
