At my school, we rarely get new computers, however when we do, the useful parts (Generaly Memory and processors, the only part that could really be reused that dont decay much) are removed, and around half are stored in the storage room while the rest are stockpiled in the basement, and taken away by a collection that comes at the end of each month and recycles them to gives money to charity. Chances are slim you would be able to find a school that didnt scrap them or give them to a charity. But if you do want a good deal on computers or computer parts, i would reccomend www.NewEgg.com . I got all the parts for my computer for under 650$ and if i had bought it from dell it would have been over 1400$.

Hope that helps,

Dan

They usually put them up for auction in a Government auction. Sometimes they have traded them in on the new ones. You can ask the person in charge of the change-over if you can buy one.
Boil them up and serve them for school dinners. bye bye
