I use 4 different computers throughout the day. I use the same sign-in name on each YIM on the different computers. When I try to view the Message Archive on the other computers, I get nothing. Are the chats stored only on the local computer that I'm chatting on for that time? My preferences are set to save all messages. It is discouraging when I get home and log-on to review chats from earlier in the day and find nothing.
How do I view the message archive if I chat on 4 different computers throught the day?virus protection
Message Archives are stored locally on your system (if you have set your Preferences to SAVE your iMs),

so the conversations held on that specific computer are only accessible from that computer.
So each of the computers (4, you said) you used will only display the conversations held from EACH computer.

Yahoo Messenger for the Web now has a new feature, wherein, when you use it:
You can now access and search your message history from ANY computer -- just like email.
Whether or not you use this feature, your IM friends and others you communicate with on Yahoo! Messenger may save conversations in their Yahoo! accounts.

I've try this many times but I didn't find out how It's done. I'm pretty sure now that the archive refers only to the local PC.
