Is it alright to put computers or monitor near the window?

I am just wondering if it was alright to put computers near the window. I am aware that if there is sun, it will increase the temperature of the parts, but it should be alright, right? I want to put 2 monitors on my desk which is in front of the window, and I am not sure if this will harm the monitors, so I'd like to hear some suggestions. Thank you in advance.
