How can I get two computers to access one printer?

We have two computers now, I heard that you could share the same printer for the two. How can I do this?

you can do it by sharing printer.

Am assuming you are using Windows XP.

Install a router and setup a network through windwos or Mac OS. On the computer with out a printer make sure it is set to print to the computer w/ a printer. One last thing the computer w/ the printer has to be on in order to print.
follow these steps:-

1.install the printer on one of the computer

2.after installing.right click on the printer icon and click on sharing.

3.now go to the other computer and access the other computer in which you have installed the printer.

4.when u access the other computer you will see the shared printer icon.

5. double click on that printer icon nad there u go

you are done...

and hey well they are connected through lan..... right ?
on the computer that is connected to the printer just go to start menu then settings then printers. right click on the printer and select share and give it a share name.
