How do i get both computers on my network to access the internet without using internet connection s

I have two computers on my network and i can only get one pc to go online, i am using a 5port switch and have both pc's and my modem plugged into it and i can only seem to get 1 pc to access the net at once, every now and then it will switch between pc's where one will be online and the other wont, can anyone help me with this i have tried everything i can think of??

if you dont want internet connection sharing, you'll need a broadband router instead of a switch.
Install proxy server on internet pc....it's free .,,,,but if u don't want then buy a link sys or other Broad band router...n config it....n in other pc type the gateway of ur broadband router[router lan ip address] n dns ...tat's itttttttt
get links it's wireless Internet with some modems. go to walmart or other store near you. it is not expensive
